About Condensation Risk Analysis

What is condensation risk analysis?

With increasing levels of insulation, the use of impermeable cladding materials and new methods of construction, can at times increase the risk of condensation in buildings. Condensation can give rise to a range of problems from surface staining of internal finishes to long term degradation of the structure. Recent health scares from 'toxic mould' growth in buildings have also highlighted the dangers that may be caused if condensation persists.

Condensation Risk Analysis in accordance with BS5250:2011 and BS EN ISO 13788:2002 standards assesses the risk of both surface and interstitial condensation occurring for different constructions.
