History
IJW Design and Consulting is a small, friendly established practice on the outskirts of the city of Hereford.
The practice is run by Ian Williams who has over 20 years experience in the technical specification side of the construction industry.
Ian is trained and experienced as an Architectural Technologist and trained in two of Herefords largest Architects Parctices. In addition to this he has worked for one of the countries leading insulation manufacturers as a technical advisor where he learned to great depth about U-values and condensation risk analysis and eventually went on to run the technical department of one of the countries foremost SIP's manufacturers.


What we can do
The architectural work from design to construction detailing is aimed mainly at the domestic market from new build house designs to extensions, loft conversions, alterations and listed building consent. All communication with relevent authorities such as planning and building control departments are dealt with by IJW Design and Consulting.

Detailed advice can be given on the use of SIP's (Structurally Insulated Panel) as wll as help with detailing, whole SIP's building design, system approval and product certification.

All U-values are calculated in accordance with BR 443 and BS EN ISO 6946. All Condensation Risk Analysis is undertaken in accordance with BS 5250: 2002

All work and advice by IJW Design and Consulting is covered by a £1,000,000 PI insurance to offer full back up and support for clients piece of mind.
